the eternal question: more troops, or fewer? I’ve been following the McChrystal Report since early September as more and more excerpts came to light and it looks like the main strategy hinges on civilian manpower and training Afghan troops, neither of which will really materialize. Is anyone surprised that the military is poised to ask Obama for more? The question is, though, whether our goals (whatever they are) would be better served by less.
Surprised? The military requests more troops in Afghanistan. This was widely expected but omitted from the McChrystal Report.
