Some more commentary on Mazen Asbahi and the Obama campaign - first, from yaman salahi, who asks why the Wall Street Journal reported on the allegations of Asbahi’s “ties” to fundamentalist groups without any attempt at investigation.
Second, at political polling wundersite fiverthirtyeight.com, who reprints an email from a close friend of Asbahi’s and points out that the issue may well have electoral consequences in Michigan (still a swing state).
FP Passport has a post on the recent resignation of Barack Obama’s Muslim outreach coordinator, Mazen Asbahi, which was covered by Aziz yesterday.
FP Passport looks more closely at the source of allegations against Abashi:
I agree with FP Passport’s assessment that the response by Obama is “an indication of how rattled the Obama campaign is by all the Muslim rumors”.

Obama’s muslim-outreach advisor, Mazen Asbahi, has resigned under allegations of nebulous “ties” to the Muslim Brotherhood. I call this jihadi cooties, and wonder where Obama’s audacity went, at City of Brass.

That 12% is not going away. the right strategy is not to convince that 12% that Obama is not muslim. Its to convince them that being muslim doesn’t, and shouldn’t, matter.
