Umar Lee rocks the jafi-sphere with his threat on Michael Mohammad Knight. JihadWatch, Frontpagemag, assorted others and some right-wing Israeli blogs upset about the Daniel Pearl reference are using this as a jumping off point to promote their agendas.

Most of the posts are illustrated with a photo of Umar taken at some conference somewhere holding a big sword with a scowl on his face…

Watching the anti-Muslim, Islamophobic, ‘counter-Jihadi’ blogosphere spread the news that Hizb ut-Tahrir’s American branch is holding a meeting today in Chicago is a case study in how the right-wing echo chamber works, albeit at a lower level where it probably won’t rise into the mainstream media.

I followed links across four fearmongering blogs before I came to the original source for the info (I was unaware HuT had an active American website).

Just because HuT has antagonists in common with all Muslims doesn’t mean HuT has much of anything in common with the Muslim mainstream. The seminar this evening will be about events in Pakistan, where it appears HuT will be trafficking in the same absurb, wild conspiracy theories and fantasies that tinfoil-hat-wearing Pakistani right-wingers do.

It has become very clear that the one responsible for these explosions and the killings of innocent people is the Pakistani government, regardless of who actually committed these horrendous acts, whether or not they were private contractors (e.g.’ Blackwater) or someone else. For example the government knew about the explosion that was to take place at the military headquarter in Rawalpindi since July 2009, and instead of stopping it, the government let it happen to advance its own agenda, and used the attack on its military headquarters as a reason to justify the war as a necessity to establish security in the region.

Yes, that’s right. The Pakistani military elite allowed a couple of their top generals along with a crowd of their own children and relatives to be massacred to better serve the agenda of their evil Western overlords. What a farce. Hizb ut-Tahrir is functioning at a level of credibility that’s about comparable to Lyndon LaRouche.

Muslim civil rights group calls for meeting to clear up ‘misconceptions’

WASHINGTON, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — A prominent national Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization today requested a meeting with Christian evangelist Franklin Graham to discuss his latest remarks attacking Islam.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said it has received a number of complaints from concerned Muslims who watched an interview last night on CNN during which Graham stated in part: “…we have many Muslims that live in this country. But true Islam cannot be practiced in this country. You can’t beat your wife. You cannot murder your children if you think they’ve committed adultery or something like that, which they do practice in these other countries… I don’t agree with the teachings of Islam and I find it to be a very violent religion.”

“Exposé” of Shaykh Hamza Yusuf’s secrets by the American Stinker and Campus Watch

“Shaykh Hamza” was long known as one of the most outspoken Muslim radicals in America. Two days before the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Hanson, speaking in Southern California, declared that America stood “condemned” and “unfortunately has a great, great tribulation coming to it.” This diatribe, reported in The Washington Post on October 2, 2001, was delivered at a benefit dinner for the prominent black nationalist known in the 1960s as H. Rap Brown, and later as Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin, who is now serving a life term without parole at the U.S. federal prison in Florence, Colorado, for murdering a police officer in Georgia (among other charges). The dinner was advertised on an Islamist website, NetMuslims.com.

    It goes on….

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission is investigating 71 cases of Internet abuse by disseminating false and lewed contents and contents that insult Islam.

Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said out of the 71, eight had been acted upon under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for defaming others.

“One had pleaded guilty and fined RM10,000 and the court also imposed certain conditions on the accused, while seven are awaiting trial,” he said in reply to a question from Matulidi Jusoh (BN-Dungun) in the Dewan Rakyat today.
    ….

He disclosed that the ministry had also taken action under Section 263 of the Act against seven websites which insulted Islam, namely http://www.syurga-islam.blogspot.com, http://www.faithfreedom.org, manatuhanallah.wordpress.com, adibahahmed.blogspot.com, surind.blogspot.com, tokbatinsenoi.blogspot.com and http://www.malaysia-today.net/2008/content/view/1252.

One of the blogs is operated by Indian Malaysian atheist Surind Raj who was reported by ‘protem President of the Muslim Bloggers Alliance’ Zainol Abideen which prompted Raj’s supporters to launch an Internet campaign against Abideen. I can’t tell if this action against Raj is the result of Abideen’s complaint.

Another Rifqa Bary eruption that I missed last month: Right-wing bloggers misconstrue Muslim blogger’s comment to be an ‘implicit threat’ to Rifqa Bary.

    The blogger, Davi Barker, wrote:

I’ll tell you one thing reader… if she’s not safe in Ohio, she’s not safe in Florida. All it took was a little creative Googling and I was able to determine the likely address where she’s staying… But I digress.

Pamela Geller called this a “veiled threat.”

Another blogger at the same news service dropped a gratuitous link to a Hamas children’s show advocating violence and then wrote:

I digress too pal. What business does a grown man have telling other grown men that an underage girl’s residence is easy to find? Davi Barker has crossed the line. His judgment that Rifqa Bary is a liar has emboldened him to dangle a carrot before others that she may be easy to find. This is an underhanded and cowardly act of a man who’s growing contempt for an underage girl is evident with each successive article he writes about her.

The Muslim blogger subsequently posted a clarification that the comment was not a threat and said this:
