Sometimes The Onion is more pointlessly goofball than satire, and there is nothing wrong with that, but on those odd occasions when it does get genuinely Swiftian, its off-the-wall perspective makes me laugh out loud as well as reminding me that facets of the familiar and everyday are in truth utterly vile, as in its “report” that more U.S. soldiers are suffering From “Pre-Traumatic Stress Disorder”.

The Internet columns of the press on this side of the pond are lauding this laugh a minute site of Presidential (mostly) bad portraits. Did kids paints some of ‘em? I sincerely hope so. Evidently not all, tho’. And even the ones that have some merit usually include a hilarious cringe factor, such as placing BO in a white suit in front of the White House, thus causing him to resemble a British colonial District Officer. This one reminds me of the art from the DC Mad comics, famous for the spoof that renamed Superman’s home-world krapton.
