A gruesome “honour” crime is being widely reported in the British media this morning, but even the right-wing press sometimes recoil from their vile headlines. Compare the Daily Fail’s, ‘Honour’ acid attack: Muslim wife under threat as her ‘lover’ is stabbed and maimed by masked gang to this screen shot of the same story as it appeared on my blogbridge feed. The change was no doubt provoked by the fact that the wife denies any adultery took place, a position supported by the police — in other words, fear of legal redress.
