Something I didn’t note on the Dawkins-…
Something I didn’t note on the Dawkins-Pope thread below: Christopher Hitchens is also supporting the move to arrest Benedixt XVI.
That’s the same Christopher Hitchen who ‘proudly’ supported an illegal corrupt invasion which has killed countless people. A war which was supported by the sort of people he claims to dislike.
And the same Christopher Hitchens who spent years slobbering over a suited gangster like George W Bush.
Hitchens isn’t really interested in justice for the victims. This is just another publicity stunt for him.

I agree. Hitchens has no credibility on the issue.
I would gain more respect for Dawkins and Hitchens if they organised some sort of charity to help the victims of abuse instead of wasting their time and money getting the Pope arrested.

In case anyone is interested, a rather extraordinarily bright fellow over on livejournal has posted a wonderful breakdown of Hitchens’ views, drawing out the ways in which his political ideology is a natural extension of his metaphysical and ethical views. Here are parts one and two.
He provides a similar treatment for Sam Harris and, to some extent, Dawkins here.
