The suicide bomber who killed seven CIA agents may have been a prominent Jihadi blogger.
First reported by al-Jazeera yesterday, and picked up in the Wall Street Journal today, it appears that a spokesperson of the Pakistani Taliban has claimed that the suicide bomber at Forward Operating Base Chapman was Jordanian national Hammam Khalil Abu Milal, famous in the jihadi blogosphere as Abu Dujana al-Khurasani. If true, this news is sure to galvanize the online jihadi community, and would represent the most dramatic case to date of the potential for virtual-to-actual jihadi activism.
….He quickly rose to prominence – and eventually an adminstrator position – on the elite al-Hisba forum in 2007, and has long been widely regarded for a series of popular essays he wrote on the forums, especially on the course of the jihad in Iraq and in praise of al-Qa’ida in Iraq.

Just reading that article gave me a headache and their seems to be a lot of strange claims going around. The claim that he was this “blogger” didn’t really make sense to me when I read it…but then again we really don’t know anything about the guy but what different people on all sides choose to either reveal or make up for their own reasons.

This is a ginormous propaganda coup for the Jihaadis. Jordan isn’t publishing any of the details in their local press. This exposes the King of Jordan as being in league with America’s
War on TerrorWar on al-Islam. The event also exposed the vulnerability of CIA supermen.The jihaadis will try to give him as much exposure and publicity as possible like this blogger stuff….the Jordanians and the Americans will try to obscure and cover up as much as possible.

The Palestinian population in Jordan is large, and the King is an absolutely indispensible ally in any solution to the Israel/Palestine problem.
Cooperating with America will simply delegitimize him with a segment of his population.
