Without addressing the veracity of the FBI charges, this tactic of attempting to sully one’s name using sex charges isn’t new. Remember Chaplain James Yee (sp?).

i think it speaks more to the same odd dissonance of radical islamists who preach strict Islam one on ehand and then engage in hedonistic pursuits on the other. the famous fact that te 9-11 hijackers went to a strip club comes to mind.

That’s because they are not religiously motivated.

I can’t be the only one who read Yee’s book. He pretty much admitted it without saying it outright that he was downloading pornography and leads readers to believe that he did engage in an extra marital affair but is not discussing it to ‘protect his wife’. The unsubstantiated charges of espionage were what sullied his reputation; anything else he did himself and it’s time to wake up to the fact that this stuff goes on with our chaplains, imams, shaykhs, whoever.
