What&#039;s more likely to happen in terms of halal certification, if it happens at all on a large scale, is that there will be multiple accreditation agencies, each with their own standards...like Kosher food (OU, triangle-K, star-K, etc.). Some alcohol might be fine for some, machine slaughtered might be fine for others...

Then there will be the issue of whether companies actually go ahead and pay for the certification (my guess: it won&#039;t be free).</description>
