AR Muhammad has talked to the daughter of “Big Bilal” Abdullah Rahman, one of four Muslims killed in the 1974 shootout at the Ya Sin Masjid in Brooklyn, NY.
Sr. Sayyidah grew up in the Darul Islam movement, which dissolved in 1983 with half the membership following Imam Jamil Alamin (H. Rap Brown) and half going to Jamaat ul-Fuqra. She lost two of her brothers to violent death, one went crazy and did an attempted killing spree, the other was gunned down by police.
The life and death of Sr. Sayyidah’s father had been kept from her until well into adulthood, and to this day she does not know where her father is buried. If anyone knows where “Big Bilal” Abdullah Rahman is buried, go to AR Muhammad’s blog and let him know so he can pass it on to the sister.
Umar Lee doesn’t think much of AR Muhammad and called him all kinds of names, (ally of Muslim haters, neo-con, Limbaugh wanna-be, etc.) Umar is the last person who should be calling anyone a “Limbaugh wanna-be.” Maybe the fact that Umar’s wife grew up in the Fuqra and Muhammad doesn’t have anything nice to say about it has something to do with it. Call it Umar’s “secret Sufi sympathies,” since Umar is the last akhi in the world who would make sectarian fitnah.

Maybe the fact that up until, a year ago ARM was a hardcore jihadi, called for jihad in public, praised the Dar and the Islamic Party in an event a year ago which I attended ( knowing everything he knows now), praised MANA and did not turn on them until he was denied a leadership role ( just as he did in DC with a few other organizations when he became bitter), and now sounds like Michelle Malkin while pursuing a job on FOX News has to do with my questioning of his sincerity.
Also, regarding Limbaugh, if you think him and I have anything in common you are drinking some liberal Kool-aid, the dynamics of Muslim thought cannot be defined in left and right- that is a colonial white supremacist mindset.

John, I have to say bringing Umar’s wife into this sort of argument is poor form.

I’ve said nothing against Umar’s wife.

You’re attacking AR Muhammad because you’re straight jeolous of the man. You’ve been lying on the brother for about a year now and can’t stop hating on him for even a minute? I too remember AR when he was a “jihadi” and it was quite a bit longer than a year ago.
Anyway, I think AR is a thoughtful and skilled writer who has a right to modify his views if he acquires new information and gains new insights. After all of the lies you’ve been spreading about AR, never once did you extend any compassion or mercy to the sister written about in the story.
Even if everything you said about AR were true, how does that help Sayyidah find her father you moron? Why don’t you save your hateful attacks for those so-called Imams who are stone walling that young women? It would seem to me, or any other decent person, that they are the ones deserving reproach.
Why don’t you go back to attacking Homo sufis or something and stop trying to tear down this brother.

Jealousy of him for what? What has he done? Who reads him? I’m jealous because I want to be a buddy of those who hate Islam? When I saw him last he was an unemployed 40 something year old man who was bitter calling Johari “Uncle Johari” while living in a basement with no job and no wife. Did he get the job at Howard he fought for ? Did he get the imam positions he jockeyed for? Position at MANA he wanted? So what is there to be jealous of? His FOX News style of writing? And now, after rejection, he is attacking everyone and sister by Allah you have slandered me and need to ask for my forgiveness because I have never uttered a lie towards that brother in my life and if you do not ask me to forgive you then you will have to answer for this slander on the Day of Judgment because I know I have told no lie. Everything I say is true and more.
Maybe a year and a half ago he had an event in which he praised the Islamic Party and the Dar. I was there, Tariq Nelson was there, Lut Williams was there and others.
I pray that the family of the sister will find peace; but I think brother Abu Usamah had a more correct assessment of the situation.

It’s not an issue of bruh leaving jihadi rhetoric. We have witnessed many brothers leave extremism for a more balanced approach (and some even going from one extreme to another) but you will recognize this transistion and transformation in them. However, Abdur Rahman went from one extreme to another extreme literally overnight. Being a prolific writer such as he is, where has he written of his “seeing the light”. Where’s his when and how explanation? This is not professional wrestling. You don’t go from being the bad guy drapped in the Iranian flag one day then come out as the good guy drapped in the American flag the next. Given his history within the Muslim community, his motivations are very questionable… AT THE LEAST. But for myself, I have recognized him as an agent provocatuer going back close to 20 years. And I know what I’m talking about. I personally and intimately know this dude.
