The government has spent (or pledged to spend) significant sums to ensure the banking sector does not collapse. We’ve been paying subsidies to wealthy landowners for years. We prop up the arms trade through from our taxation. Corporate tax avoidance costs the country ‘billions’.
Yet, the current economic and financial climate inspires David Cameron to take a great big dump on… the less well off and those in need.
Such is politics in these (those) Isles.
