Eid ul Adha suicide bombing in frontier Pakistan kills 50 people praying inside a masjid. The target was a former interior minister who directed military operations against the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
You know, I’ve long been an opponent of takfiring people for any reason, but given that these animals use takfir against ordinary muslims for their own political ends, perhaps it is time we fought back with the same tool. Someone who murders muslims on the Day of Sacrifice surely deserves to be labeled an unbeliever and a jahil.

I don’t think they care for our takfirs, and if they did, they would wear it with perverse pride.

agreed, which is kind of how I think of their takfirs. Still, the intended audience isnt them, but everyone else, no?

How do these people have any credibility left? Murdering Muslims *in mosques*? Good God…

wow. i blame google news. why did it send me an alert on something a year old?

though, my general question remains. Is takfir something we should consider as a political tool against terrorists?

I was wondering whether one could accept the terrorist’s takfir and turn the situation around onto them.
Terrorist: You cannot be considered a muslim anymore and so you deserve to die at our discretion.
Civilian: Yes I do absolve and exonerate myself before Allah… from your excesses. Thus I do not question your commitment to Islam but these resulting acts of taking on lives mercilessly and the destruction of property and places of worship, these need to be curtailed whether done by muslims or non-muslims.
(why is the religious police so effective in implementing their law and order and the normal police are not?)
