for many americans, to be a university professor automatically implies that you are part of a leftist anti-american elite, bent upon the destruction of the “greatest nation on earth”. you are guilty until proven otherwise.

The demand of the LA Times is actually rather bizarre in that they are critiquing the paper for something that they actually did in McCain’s favor. As Larison points out, the Times was under no obligation to actually report on the video at all, as might be expected were the MSM truly “in the tank” for Obama. That’s a great article on the Khalidi nonsense, by the way – well worth a read.
