MA is an excellent organization. I have known the founders through NAML and NMLSA (law students) and these people really have a broad understanding of what it means to be muslim in America, not limited to conservative/liberal agendas.

incidentally, I expanded on this post <a href="http://cityofbrass.blogspot.com/2008/07/introducing-muslim-advocates-for-muslim.html" rel="nofollow">at City of Brass</a>, arguing that CAIR still has a role to play and that we shouldn't look at MA as a replacement.

The language of the caption is particularly important and appealing to me.

What I am sick of is immigrants to America who take no ownership. Sorry, I don't want to hear any complaining about the USA if you don't consider yourself an American. If you don't want to be in the club, STFU, grab your greasy dollars and get the f out.

You gotta be in the family to criticize this country. All sideliners from other countries hanging out in the USA for whatever purpose can leave any time. Criticize the USA when you get back to your homeland.

Good to see Muslims being assertive about their dual identity as Muslims and as Americans.
