i suggest something that doesn’t have any “classical islam” connotations — i.e. tile murals, calligraphy. i’m sick of all that. how about something 2.0-ish + cool?
andrea, that sound appealing, but it should retain some element of islamic symbolism. can we draw a stylized astrolabe to mimic the Apple logo, for example?
i think that’s the issue: islamic symbolism. maybe time for some new symbols, in my mind. the old ones are as cliched as the quran verses on the black velvet backgrounds.
i think the blog Islam Crunch has a nice logo look — some elements of tradition, but clearly something new. http://islamcrunch.com/
