How many scientists and engineers do we have here?
I’m a medical physicist, specializing in MRI. I know that razib, thab and aasem are technical folk too, but not all the details. Anyone else, including commenters? Do share!

MRI is amazing stuff. I once took a 12 week course on Electro-medical stuff that included introduction to Digital Imaging Algorithms related to Ultrasonography and MRI.
I am basically an Electrical Engineer with specialization in Computer Engineering (Control Systems / Computer Architecture). Currently pursuing areas of Signal Detection and Estimation.

Impressive stuff! My father and both grandfathers are/were engineers, and ALL of us cousins have gone into creative industries. They’re pretty put out about it. My sister may become an epidemiologist and save us, however.

Structural engineer by training, LAMP programmer by hobby, and writer/web designer by necessity.

Mechanical engineer by degree, currently pursuing a M.Sc in geographical information systems.
Integrity engineer by profession and specialising in pipeline hydrocarbon transportation, which requires me to dabble in everything from structural assessments to programming databases.
Wannabe ‘commentator’ on politics, religion etc.
Also, as an engineer, I would like to distinguish my profession from science. We are not scientists!
