Andrea, what is the local journalism industry in Kenya like? Would there be a niche for starting a bureau from scratch? Is there any way to approach western journalism agencies and convince them that there is a case to be made for starting something?

Andrea - a friend of mine at CNN is going to try and inquire with their Kenya bureau on behalf of Vincent. Dunno what the outlook is but inshallah doors will open.

Aziz, God bless you, i hope something comes of that. Re: starting a bureau from scratch — I don’t know, is there much demand for news from that part of the world? Kenyan bloggers are really filling in the gaps.
