I hope not but it’s certainly looking that way.

far from being weak on electability, obama is a genuine map-changer: http://tinyurl.com/68tx23

Not only that, despite the claim that obama won only on the backs of “elite” voters, Obama made concrete *gains* in *every* core demographic at Clinton’s expense since Ohio: http://tinyurl.com/5fx8z2

Clinton’s claims to being ahead in the popular vote are, shall we say, selective. Or maybe it depends on what the definition of “popular” is? http://tinyurl.com/63pvzt

But why didn’t he win? http://tinyurl.com/6jl53q

    He spent more money! http://tinyurl.com/68je3u

I don’t think so. The game is far from over especially for Hillary who’s out there claiming she has the popular vote - which she doesn’t have. And every time she gets cocky by pretending to be ahead, she pays for it with losing voters. I expect to see her shedding a few tears within the next few days to try and counter today’s blunder.

In the end, either of these candidates makes for fine competition against McCain. I think Hillary scores more points on healthcare but Obama scores more points on the economy. Depending on where you stand on immigration - they’re both pretty close but both candidates are stronger in their stance towards immigration reform than McCain (I believe even by Republican standards). So, if we’re truely looking for change in this country it certainly won’t make a difference whether Obama or Hillary win because McCain isn’t offering any change when it comes to the economy, immigration, or foreign policy.

What we should be doing is looking at the history of both of their stances before becomming senators and looking at their voting records as well as where they are on these issues right now. We need to know which of these candidates is serious about giving voters what they want.

Yea but how many people are ever going to do the research into their voting records? They’ll probably vote based on whether Obama rolls another gutter ball while bowling, thus solidifying his “elitism” a la John Kerry. Or some such thing.

update - more hard data on what the Obama map vs the Clinton map would look like. Using the Clinton camp’s own numbers, Obama is stronger against McCain!

The NYT has produced an Obama-Clinton decision tree.
